Rajasthan Royals cricketer Jofra Archer took to Twitter to slam Ravichandran Ashwin stating that he had no confidence on his bowling and bowlers to get Jos Butler out, and hence had to take the help of ‘Mankading’ to get rid of Butler. However, Archer later deleted this tweet quickly.

Ashiwn ‘Mankaded’ Butler in the 13th over of the second innings during yesterday’s IPL encounter between Kings XI Punjab and Rajasthan Royals, which has created a huge uproar all over the cricketing world. Butler was well set at the crease when the incident took place and his wicket turned things around in Punjab’s favour.

The wicketkeeper got out for 69 and the Royals eventually lost the game by 14 runs. Ashwin’s ‘spirit of cricket has since been questioned by many former cricketers and cricket experts and some have also come in favour of the Punjab skipper arguing that whatever he has done is according to the laws of the game.

Meanwhile, Rajasthan all-rounder Archer took to social networking site Twitter to speak out against the spinner for the controversial dismissal last night. Archer wrote that neither Ashwin nor his bowlers could get rid of Butler, so eventually took the wrong route to send the batsman back. He also sarcastically put the hashtag terming it as great captaincy.

“You show no confidence in yourself or your bowlers to get the job done so you resort to that? #greatcaptaincy,” Archer wrote on Twitter.
