The World Cup is bound to bring about the best in players from across the globe and that has been evident in the last couple of months. Pakistan’s Babar Azam was left disappointed after a brilliant no-look throw from England’s Adil Rashid after a disastrous call from compatriot Sarfaraz Ahmed.

Pakistan succumbed to a 4-0 loss against England in the recently concluded five-match ODI series. England put up a total of 351/9 on the board at the end of the first innings to set a mammoth target for Pakistan to chase down in the final One-dayer. Sarfraz Ahmed & Co. failed to chase down the target by 54 runs despite Babar Azam knock of 80 from 83 balls and Ahmed’s 97 from 80 balls.

However, things could have gone differently had Azam stayed on the pitch for longer but England’s Adil Rashid had other plans. Rashid was handed the task to bowl the 27th over with Azam and Sarfraz looking in good nick at the crease.

The British all-rounder rewarded his captain almost immediately as he produced a stunning run-out effort to dismiss the dangerous looking Azam. On the second delivery of the over, Rashid tossed a delivery to Ahmed at the striker’s end who looked to nudge it to the on-side but missed.

By then, Azam had made his way half-way down the pitch only for Sarfraz to ask him to go back. England’s Jos Buttler was quick on the ball, as he picked it up and then threw it to the bowler. Rashid produced a stunning no-look effort as he hit the stumps and dismissed the dangerous Azam and send him back to pavilion.
