Mohammad Shami in second innings was too hot to handle for the Proteas. Spinners did play a part on Day 5 of first Test but Mohammad Shami was the real hero of the day. The entire cricketing fraternity reacted on India's win over South Africa and congratulated Shami on his clinical display.

Mohammad Shami took 5-35 as India won the first Test against South Africa by 203 runs.
