DC skipper Rishabh Pant, Shardul Thakur, and batting coach Pravin Amre have been fined for breaching the Indian Premier League’s (IPL) Code of Conduct during their match against RR on Friday. Pant admitted to the Level 2 offence under Article 2.7, and has been fined 100 percent of his match fee.

Delhi Capitals captain, Rishabh Pant has been reprimanded 100 percent of his match fee for breaching the Indian Premier League’s (IPL) Code of Conduct during his team’s match against Rajasthan Royals on Friday (April 22), at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai. “Pant admitted to the Level 2 offence under Article 2.7 of the IPL Code of Conduct and accepted the sanction,” a statement released by the IPL’s official website read.

Besides, pace-bowling all-rounder, Shardul Thakur has been fined 50 percent of his match fee for breaching the rule as well. He was seen shouting right behind Pant, who had asked players to return to the pavilion after a controversial high full toss was not given as a no-ball by the on-field umpire Nitin Menon. It happened at a crucial juncture of the game when the DC needed 18 off the last three balls. A no ball could allow them a free hit, as well as an extra delivery.

“Thakur admitted to the Level 2 offence under Article 2.8 of the IPL Code of Conduct and accepted the sanction,” another statement read.

DC’s batting coach Pravin Amre, whom Pant told to speak with the on-field umpires, has been fined 100 percent of his match fee. Amre accepted the sanction, acknowledging that it was ‘the Level 2 offence under Article 2.2 of the IPL Code of Conduct.’
