Interestingly, Virat Kohli had 29 half-centuries before Friday but the swashbuckling batsman is yet to score a hundred in the shortest format of the game in international cricket. With his knock in the second T20I, the former skipper has put a stop to all the talk that was happening regarding his form as he looked in supreme touch on Friday.
The right-handed batsman has changed his approach in T20I cricket as he looked to be aggressive from the first ball itself as team India try to upgrade their style of play before the T20 World Cup. This year's T20 World Cup is scheduled to take place in Australia and will be Rohit Sharma's first big assignment in terms of an ICC tournament.
India will play the third and final T20I against West Indies at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Sunday. The visitors have not won a single game on the tour yet and they will be hoping to change that.
