One of the primary reasons for the quality of good cricket in the IPL is the quality of acts the cricketers put in on the field. Punjab Kings’ Jonny Bairstow just fell prey to one of the superb deliveries of the season as Gujarat Titans’ Noor Ahmad deceived the English batter with a seed.

Winning the toss and electing to bat first, the Punjab Kings offered 199 runs in the first innings as Shubman Gill stockpiled the highest individual score of the ongoing season. In reply, the visitors suffered early setbacks in the form of Shikhar Dhawan, followed by Jonny Bairstow falling prey to a magical delivery from Afghan youngster Noor.

On the first ball of the sixth over, Noor came over the wicket and sprayed a fuller length delivery, pitched near the leg stump line. As Bairstow prodded forward to defend, he overread the googly, leaving a thin gap between the bat and the pad. The ball sharply sneaked through the gates to knock the stumps, leaving Bairstow in despair. The Englishman was seen let down by this peach stuff, sending the Twitterverse into a frenzy.
