Injuries are a part of an athlete's career and a few in the delicate part of the body could go horribly. A similar case happened with Captain Faf du Plessis as he coped with a low blow off a miscued stroke when Royal Challengers Bengaluru squared off against Mumbai Indians in the Wankhede.

Playing their first game against one another in the ongoing IPL season, Mumbai Indians captain Hardik Pandya won the toss and elected to field first. With Virat Kohli dismissed early off Jasprit Bumrah, and Will Jacks following suit, the visitors were pushed on the back foot inside the powerplay. The pressure epitomized when an Akash Madhwal delivery hit Faf right at the groin, causing a halt in play.

On the fourth delivery of the sixth over, Madhwal bent his back to produce a short delivery outside the off stump that Faf tried to make room and smack across the line. However, the ball skidded off the surface, and the Proteas batter got an inside edge back to his groin area, leading to a low blow. This resulted in Faf crouching down in pain, and he took a while before taking a stance for the next delivery, thereby sending the Twitterverse into a frenzy.King for a reason!

Ouch!!!!

It would have hurt him!

Hahaha!

LOL!

Damn!

Not really so!

Oh god!
