Cricket is a game where the geographical conditions play a good part. As an athlete, it's not always easy to adapt to the changing environment but Jake Fraser-McGurk made it look easy with his range hitting after clobbering Washington Sundar for 30 runs as SRH and DC squared off in Delhi.

Being forced to bat first by Delhi Capitals captain Rishabh Pant during the toss, the deadly duo of Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma stockpiled 125 runs in the powerplay. While Sharma fell short of a fifty by just four runs, Head’s 32-ball 89 carnage set up followed by Shahbaz Ahmed’s half-century propelled SRH to 266/7 in 20 overs. In response, the Capitals intended a similar start and despite losing the openers early, the momentum continued with Fraser-McGurk on the charge.

Following back-to-back fours at the start of the third over, Sundar sprayed a fuller delivery outside the off stump that Fraser-McGurk smoked over long on for a six. Subsequently, he hit a four-over cover and then Sundar dragged the length back with plenty of width on offer for the swashbuckler to free his arms. The ball sat up well for the 22-year-old who smashed it over long off like a baseball swing to end the over with a couple of sixes. Seeing Fraser-McGurk keep the Capitals in the chase with a 30-run over, the Twitterverse exploded.
