The IPL is known as one of the top-tier competitions in the world and its competitive nature has a lot to do with its reputation. Rashid Khan just exemplified the stature by taking an unbelievable catch to dismiss Aiden Markram in Ahmedabad, leaving himself and his teammates in awe.

Winning the toss and electing to bat first, the Sunrisers Hyderabad got off to a flying start, racking up 54 runs in powerplay despite the early dismissal of Mayank Agarwal. However, the match swung the other way post the lift of field restrictions as Gujarat Titans bowlers and fielders brought them back into the game with an extraordinary catch from Rashid Khan being one of the standouts.

On the fourth ball of the 15th over, Aiden Markam looked to switch gears after struggling to hit boundaries against the spinners and medium pacers. Umesh Yadav dished a back of a-length delivery into the pitch near the off-stump line that the Proteas skipper looked to loft over the long-on region. His backlift did not produce a sweet timing and the ball marooned in front of the long-on region. But Rashid Khan from the deep steamed in with a forward dive and managed to pull off a flying stunner. At one point, the Afghan all-rounder even overran but managed to grasp the ball awkwardly, thereby completing the catch and leaving himself, Umesh and the Twitterverse in awe.
