A captain’s advice holds significant weight, and it's often essential to follow the guidance given. This was evident on the final day of the Test match between Pakistan and England when Aamer Jamal and Shaheen Shah Afridi played aggressive shots, much to Shan Masood's irritation.

‌Pakistan’s chances of winning or even drawing the Test match were dashed by Harry Brook’s triple century and Joe Root’s classy double century. The hosts struggled with their batting as Aamer Jamal and Agha Salman started Day 5. Unfortunately, Salman was dismissed in the 49th over, bringing Shaheen Shah Afridi to the crease. As they were the last batting pair, Shan Masood wanted to send a message for them to play slowly, given the huge deficit and the risks involved.

During the drinks break, Sarfaraz Ahmed entered the field and handed drinks to the duo, briefly signaling that they should play cautiously and avoid risky shots. However, things didn't go as planned. In the 51st over, Jamal aimed for a six but ended up getting a top edge that soared over mid-wicket. By chance, Ollie Pope failed to catch it, giving Jamal a lifeline. A ball later, Afridi played a reckless shot to a shorter delivery, sending the ball toward square leg. Again, luck was on his side as the ball landed just wide of Joe Root, who couldn't take the catch. Masood looked astonished, questioning why Jamal and Afridi were taking such risks in a critical situation. The drama quickly caught the attention of Twitter, with fans commenting on the unfolding events.
