T20 cricket has largely been dominated by batters, but seasoned bowlers still produce game-changing moments. Rajasthan Royals’ Jofra Archer delivered a brilliant in-seamer that outfoxed Gujarat Titans’ skipper Shubman Gill in Ahmedabad as the Gujarat skipper was scalped for a meagre score.

‌Riding on the back of two consecutive wins, Rajasthan Royals skipper Sanju Samson won the toss and chose to bowl first—a decision that paid immediate dividends. Jofra Archer set the tone with a fiery opening over and blended pace and bounce to keep the Gujarat Titans on the back foot.

In the third over, Archer struck gold with a delivery that was just fuller than a good length and clocked at 147.7 kmph. Shubman Gill showed no foot movement and went for an ambitious drive away from his body, leaving a gap between bat and pad. The ball jagged in sharply after pitching and crashed into the top of the off-stump, sending the Gujarat captain back for just 2 off 3 balls. Archer’s precision and intensity left Gill bewildered and the cricketing world buzzing, as fans on social media showered praise on the English speedster’s jaffa.

 Bowled him!
