Few players possess the ability to adopt a daring approach and attack from the very first delivery. India’s Rishabh Pant showcased this in the last session of the second day, silencing the Sydney crowd by hitting Scott Boland for a six off his first delivery with his fearless stroke.

‌Australia faced early setbacks on the second day losing Labuschagne, Konstas, and Head to Indian pacers, with India taking control of the innings. Despite a strong partnership between Beau Webster and Steve Smith, India regained momentum, dismissing Smith before lunch and eventually bowling Australia out for 181, leading by 4 runs at Tea. In India’s second innings, Scott Boland struck early removing Rahul, Jaiswal, and Kohli, leaving India in a precarious position at 39/3. The spotlight was on Rishabh Pant to score big and he did exaclty the same off the first delivery he faced.

The SCG crowd erupted in joy when Kohli was dismissed off the first ball of the 14th over, and Rishabh Pant walked in to bat. On the second delivery, Boland bowled a fuller length outside off, and Pant, stepping down the track, smashed it over deep mid-wicket for a six. His aggressive approach was clear, as he aimed to quickly build India’s lead and put pressure on the Aussie bowlers before the end of the day. The crowd fell silent in awe of Pant's class, and the Twitterverse also celebrated his fearless stroke, praising the wicketkeeper-batter's attacking flair.
