Soon the Indian team will be going against England in a three match ODI series. While India's squad for the T20I series has been announced, fans have been waiting for the ODI team. Now it has been reported that the ODI squad will be announced this week.

India is set to have a tight ODI schedule in the coming months. After the ODI series against Afghanistan, the team will be going to England for a three match ODI series. The India tour of England is about to be a full tour, with five T20Is and three ODIs, but the ODI team has not been released.

A few days back, the BCCI had revealed the T20I team for this tour, which increased the anticipation for the ODI team. And now it is being reported that the ODI team for this tour will be announced this week. While the date of its announcement is yet to be confirmed, the team is likely to be announced this week.

One of the key reasons behind which the team announcement was delayed is Virat Kohli's injury. The veteran batsman suffered with an injury in the IPL final, due to which he was also ruled out of the ODI series against Afghanistan.

Our Take

The Indian team for the ODI series against England will be looking a lot different than it is in the series against Afghanistan. Players such as Virat Kohli and Hardik Pandya are expected to make a return from injury in this series. Along with that, fans will also expect some changes in the bowling line-up, with players such as Jasprit Bumrah, Ravindra Jadeja, or Axar Patel having a possible return on the cards.
