Virat Kohli had a reunion with his former teammate in the match against KKR. But it was not Rohit Sharma or MS Dhoni, it was Manish Pandey. Both of them started as partners in the Under-19 World Cup, as they now met again in the clash at Raipur.

Virat Kohli is known for sharing a great bond with his former teammates. In the IPL, fans do love when Virat Kohli shares his time with players such as MS Dhoni and Rohit Sharma. But only a few of them do remember the times which he has spent together with Manish Pandey, another Indian batter, in his Under-19 days.

Both of them have represented the Indian team in the 2007 Under-19 World Cup. Recently in the match between Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Kolkata Knight Riders, they met each other and shared a hilarious moment too. During the game, Virat Kohli was showing Manish Pandey that he will play a scoop shot.

He said, “Ab India ke liye thodi khelna hain T20is, to ab har shot lagega.” Both of them shared a laughter as this talk was even captured in the stump mic. Later when Manish Pandey took an impressive catch to dismiss Tim David, Virat Kohli even went towards him to appreciate his brilliant efforts for the same.

Our Take

Virat Kohli and Manish Pandey have shared a lot of moments together which still remain underrated. When Virat Kohli said that now he would play each and every shot as he is not playing the T20I format anymore, that moment stole the show. His game has totally changed after taking a retirement from the shortest format of the game.
