Here is how the Indian Cricket Team helped the England Cricket Board in a Financial Way
With the Indian team completing a 5-match Test series against England in 2025, the England Cricket Board saw a turnover of around INR 5266 Crores, which was much bigger than what they got in the previous year, and has an increase of INR 1146 Crores for now.
The Indian team did a successful tour to England from 20th June to 4th August 2025, where the 5-match series ended up with 2-2, and hence the series provided the ultimate drama and excitement because of the big run chases, centuries, wicket-taking deliveries, and some intense brawls on the pitch too. From the tour, the England team was able to generate a revenue of INR 5266 Crores, and they were able to have an increase of INR 1146 Crores from the previous year.
Now, for the upcoming tour, the Indian team is scheduled to play 5 T20I matches along with the 3 ODI matches, and it will feature the stars such as Abhishek Sharma, Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, and others, which will further help the England Cricket Board financially. However, for the year 2027, the England team will not be hosting the Indian team for either of the white-ball or the red-ball series, and hence they are expected to have a significant loss.
