Barcelona vice-president Jordi Cardoner has ruled out any move for Neymar this summer, despite the club being heavily linked with one. The 28-year-old has already made his desire to leave Paris very clear but with Barcelona unwilling to meet the £200 million valuation, negotiations have broken down.

Barcelona and links with a move for Neymar have gone hand in hand this summer, but it seems that that may finally be over. The La Liga giant’s vice president Jordi Cardoner has revealed in an interview, that no move for the Brazilian will take place this summer. He further went on to emphasise that PSG and Barcelona still maintain a good relationship.

"As of today, there's no Neymar case, as the president said, and it's complicated. We are passive actors. We know he's not happy in Paris and it's a situation that needs to be resolved in Paris. We haven't spoken to them. There is a lot of respect between the clubs and if there is a Neymar case one day, we'll talk. Today, at this time, it's ruled out," concluded Cardoner.

Sky Sports has reported that while Neymar has made his interest in leaving Paris very clear, the Ligue 1 giants are demanding close to £200 million. That or a few players from Barcelona, ones that don’t include back-up stars. Instead, further reports have indicated that Philippe Coutinho could play a major part alongside a transfer fee.

But to make things even worse, relationships between the two sides have hit rock-bottom especially after Barcelona tried to buy Marco Verratti and PSG brought in Neymar. This has made any deal this summer that much more complicated and harder for the La Liga champions.
