Manchester United have ended their pursuit of Paulo Dybala with Juventus hoping that a deal does take place this summer. The two sides are currently in negotiations over a swap deal for Romelu Lukaku, with Dybala moving the other way but the Argentine has shown no intentions of making that move.

With both Juventus and Manchester United in negotiations over a swap deal for Romelu Lukaku and Paulo Dybala, things were going quite swimmingly before Dybala's unwillingness to leave changed things. The Argentine isn't happy with a potential move to Old Trafford and has demanded wages matching what some of Manchester United's highest earners earn, reports the Telegraph.

But the Telegraph has also added that this has seen the Red Devils drop their move for the Argentine. The report further adds that the wages was reason number one, with the Argentine's reluctance to move the other reason. That is not what Manchester United want to do, and manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has stressed on the need to sign players who are completely committed to the club’s cause this summer.

The 25-year-old attacker is considered to be amongst the most talented players in the world and has spent four successful seasons at Juventus. But things changed with the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo last summer, with Dybala struggling to make an impact.

He was often shifted out wide but the arrival of Maurizio Sarri this season might brighten up Dybala’s future in Turin. It will be interesting to note how the Lukaku transfer saga unfolds, now that a swap deal for Dybala and the Belgian is off the charts.
