The next few days are going to be rough for Tottenham with the European transfer window set to close on the 2nd September especially given Christian Eriksen itching for a move away. The Danish star has one year left on his current deal and this is the club's last chance to make some profit on him.

Tottenham midfielder Christian Eriksen joined the club in 2013 and has slowly become one of their most important players. But that kind of consistent performance has also seen him eyed by a lot of major Europen clubs. Interest around him peaked this season, after Eriksen publicly admitted that he is willing to move out of the North London club.

The Danish International has been offered a better contract by his current club, but he has maintained his stance of leaving the Premier League. Now the Daily Star reports that La Liga giants Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid are now preparing bids for the attacking midfielder.

Tottenham do value the midfielder in the region of £130m, but it is unlikely they will be able to get anywhere close to that. Spurs chief Daniel Levy is quite aware that it is impossible that any club will pay so much, but if he doesn’t sell Eriksen this season, the club will be forced to let him go away on free next season.

Reports add that Levy is trying to keep Eriksen’s price at £50m, but club insiders fear that the Spanish giants will force the move and take the 27-year-old away from Spurs at a mere £30m.
