After a lot of speculation surrounding the future of the Bruno Fernandes’ the Portuguese international is close to signing for Manchester United. The negotiations for the 24-year-old midfielder are in their final stages and an agreement is expected to be sealed within the next few days.
After signing Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Daniel James, Manchester United has continued to keep eyes on the market, with less than 10 days left before the window slams shut. The Red Devils are on the verge of guaranteeing two major signings, with deals for Harry Maguire and Bruno Fernandes are on the verge of completion before the window ends.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, a deal for the Portuguese international is imminent, with reports pointing that the negotiations between Manchester United and Sporting CP are close. The 24-year-old has a sensational season, where he scored 31 goals and contributed to 17 more goals in just 50 matches.
That saw the 24-year-old surpass Frank Lampard's record as the midfielder with the most goals scored in a single league season. This is achievement helped Sporting CP securing the League and Cup double at the end of this season. Fernandes arrived at Sporting from Sampdoria in 2017, for a mere fee of €8.5 million, which will see the Italian club get 10% of any potential future deal.
