UP Yoddha head coach Jasveer Singh pointed out that his team was not able to execute their strategies because of which they lost the match. UP Yoddha lost to Patna Pirates by 20-41 and this was their third loss of the season and the team from Uttar Pradesh have won only one game so far in season 7.

UP Yoddha weren’t up to the mark in last night’s match against Patna Pirates as they lost by a point difference of 21. Before this match, they have had two matches which ended up in a tie so till now they are able to win only one match. None of their departments was able to work and they were completely dominated by the Pirates. Their raiding unit was able to score 14 points whereas the defence scored only four points in the entire game.

“They executed their plan to perfection and we could have done better with ours. The start wasn’t ideal, and we couldn’t do well,” UP Yoddha coach Jasveer Singh said in the post-match press conference.

“Definitely. We have a talented roster and we’ll try to give everyone an opportunity to showcase what they have in their kitty."

The highest scorer of the match was Sumit with two raid points and three tackle points. Apart from him, nobody made an impact in the whole match. They were not able to start well and Patna took the lead and kept building on it.

“If you don’t start well, it’s usually tough to recover. The defence was a bit too eager today and that ended up costing us,” Skipper Nitesh Kumar said.

“He (Rishank)’s a champion raider. Of course, form comes and goes, so I am sure he’ll perform well."
