Dabang Delhi KC skipper Joginder Narwal is of the belief that their defence strategies weren’t implemented well during the match against Telugu Titans. Delhi won against the Titans by a narrow margin of one point in Hyderabad which was the season’s opening game for Joginder and co.

Telugu Titans on Wednesday suffered their third successive defeat through the hands of Dabang Delhi KC. It was a close match where the Titans started with a narrow lead but they couldn’t sustain it for long. In the whole match, no team could manage to take a clear lead and the match was filled with twist and turns of super tackles and super raids.

Delhi’s raiding unit was on top for their game but the defensive unit was taking unnecessary risks and they had around 14 unsuccessful tackles, most of which were by Anil(six) who failed to score even a single point.

“We did well to win, but we need to play better in defence. We weren’t prompt with the execution of our defensive strategy today. Tomorrow, we play an excellent team. And we need to be at the top of our game if we want to win,” Joginder Narwal said in the post-match press conference.

In the raiding department, Naveen Kumar was the outstanding performer of the match for Delhi as he scored a total of 14 points followed by Chandran Ranjit who scored six. All in all, it was a team effort that kept them in the game and helped them win.

“It was a good win. We did well in offence and defence. But we can’t dwell on this victory for too long. We have a game tomorrow as well. So, we need to prepare for that,” Naveen said.

Dabang Delhi KC is going to play Tamil Thalavias today at the Gachibowli Stadium in Hyderabad which will be the second match for both the sides.
