1 - Rohit Sharma becomes the first Indian player to score two centuries in T2O internationals. Earlier, in 2015, Rohit scored his first T20I century against South Africa, in Dharamsala.

2 - Only two faster centuries in all T20 cricket have been scored than the one by Rohit. The fastest century came off 30 balls by Chris Gayle in IPL 2013. The previous quickest T20 century among India players was in 37 balls by Yusuf Pathan in IPL 2010.

4 - Yuzvendra Chahal became the fourth bowler to take two consecutive four-plus wicket hauls in International T20s. The others to do so were Ajanta Mendis (4/15 & 4/17) in 2008, Umar Gul (4/37 & 5/6) in 2012-13 and Mudassar Bukhari (4/28 & 4/7) in 2015-16. Chahal picked four for 23 in the first match of the series in Cuttack.

5 – Only five batsmen have scored two centuries in T20 Internationals, including Rohit. Chris Gayle, Evin Lewis, Brendon McCullum, and Colin Munro are the others to achieve the feat. Overall, this is Rohit's fourth century in his T20 career, the joint-most among India players along with Virat Kohli. KL Rahul and Suresh Raina are the only India players to score centuries in T20Is previously, both with one each.

10 - Sixes hit by Rohit in his 43-ball knock - the most for India in an innings in T20Is. The previous most was seven sixes by Yuvraj Singh, who did it twice - against England in Durban in 2007 and against Pakistan in Ahmedabad in 2012. However, Rahul also bettered Yuvraj’s record yesterday, hitting eight sixes in the innings.

21 - Sixes hit by India in their innings is the joint-most by any team in an innings in 20-over cricket. The other such instances were - Royal Challengers Bangalore against Pune Warriors India in 2013, West Indies against India in Lauderhill in 2016, and Rangpur Riders against Dhaka Dynamites last week.

35 - Balls taken by Rohit to reach his hundred - the joint-fastest in T20 Internationals along with David Miller, who scored his knock against Bangladesh in Potchefstroom couple of months ago.

52 - Runs conceded by Yuzuvendra Chahal - the most by any bowler taking four or more wickets in a T20I. The previous most expensive four-fer was four for 46 by Sachitra Senanayake against Windies in Pallekele in 2015. This was Chahal's third four-fer in T20Is surpassing R Ashwin's two as the most for India.

64 - Sixes hit by Rohit across internationals in 2017 - the most by any, surpassing AB de Villiers's 63 in 2015. The stand-in India skipper has hit 46 in ODIs, 15 in T20Is and three in Tests.

89 - by KL Rahul is the highest second-highest individual score in an innings in T20s. The previous instance was 88 by Graeme Smith against England in Centurion in 2009 when Loots Bosman outscored him scoring 94.

165 - Run stand between Rohit and Rahul is the highest opening-wicket partnership for India in the T20 Internationals surpassing, 158 by Rohit and Shikhar Dhawan against New Zealand in Delhi last month. It is the third-highest opening partnership in all T20Is. 

210 - Runs scored in boundaries in India's innings - 21 fours and 21 sixes. It is the joint-most in an innings in 20-over cricket, equaling Royal Challengers Bangalore effort against Pune Warriors India in 2013 where they also smashed 21 fours and as many sixes.

260- This is India's highest total in T20Is, surpassing the 244 for 4 against Windies in Lauderhill in 2016. It is the joint second highest total in T20Is after Australia's 263 for 3 against Sri Lanka in Pallekele in 2016. Sri Lanka also made 260 for six against Kenya in Johannesburg in the inaugural World T20.
