In a video shot for BCCI.tv, Virat Kohli, in conversation with Rohit Sharma, reveals how the team he is leading is full of talent and praises Sharma for being an exceptional partner. Kohli and Sharma hit centuries in the fourth ODI against Sri Lanka in Colombo and took a 4-0 lead in the series.

In the fourth ODI against Sri Lanka, the Indian team triumphed with a remarkable 168-run win and Virat Kohli was the star of the show. In a video for BCCI, Rohit Sharma congratulated Kohli on the performance of the team and asked Kohli about his views on the game, to which the skipper responded by appreciating the team and telling explaining the dressing room environment.

“Well, thank you. It has been amazing to lead this team. You know how the team room and change room and the environment is and how the team gels well together,” said Kohli.

"It's been amazing to lead this team; the team is gelling well together. The hunger of all the guys is the reason we are doing so well. It makes my job easier as everything is done by the players.”

Sharma then joined in himself and praised the team and stated that the hallmark of the current side was that the middle order players make it so easier for the others to perform well.

Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli recalled their match-winning partnership and Kohli commended the Indian opener for playing exceptionally well in difficult settings. According to both of them, the conditions were tough and they focused on getting boundaries rather than doing a lot of running between the wickets.

"We have played in these difficult conditions; it was very hot and humid. As discussed, we were just watching the ball clearly and not looking at the scoreboard. It's always a pleasure batting with you," said Virat Kohli.

Moreover, Kohli paid tribute to the support staff for their wins as well and stated that their involvement has been commendable in the team's advancement.

"When I took over the captaincy in Australia in 2014, we were ranked no.7 and now we are no.1 with the same group of people. They have gelled well with the team and everyone loves them. All the way down to Raghu, who along with Sanjay Bangar has taken our batting to next well. Arun Paaji with the bowling, and Sridhar with the fielding. Shastri Bhai has been unlocking everyone's game and his motivational skills are on another level."

Rohit recapitulated the tête-à-tête by affirming that the team is just like a family and is going to stay as one in future as well.
