Shardul Thakur played his debut match against Sri Lanka, yesterday, where he wore jersey No. 10 which was the enough reason for Sachin Tendulkar fans to target him and they took Twitter to vent out their anger. In his debut match, Thakur claimed the scalp of Niroshan Dickwella as his maiden wicket.

The fourth ODI between India and Sri Lanka will be remembered for many reasons as it was the 300th ODI for MS Dhoni and he claimed the world record for the most number of not-outs in ODI history. Lasith Malinga, too, wrote his way into the history books by claiming his 300th ODI wicket when he sent back Virat Kohli.

It was also a memorable day for the 25-year-old Thakur who got the chance to represent Team India in ODI cricket after a stellar Ranji season. He got his side off to a good start earning them the first breakthrough by claiming the opener Dickwella’s wicket and finished with figures of 1/26 in seven overs.

But cricket fans, rather Sachin Tendulkar's fans, noticed that Thakur was donning jersey No. 10 which was donned by the legendary Tendulkar for many years. They didn’t waste a single minute and took social media to target the young pacer.

Some fans even suggested retiring the jersey No. 10.

This guy suggested Thakur to find any other jersey.
