VIDEO | Virat Kohli refuses to celebrate after taking an absolute stunner

Fitness is one of the areas where Virat Kohli doesn’t compromise and he has set very high standards, not only for himself but for the Indian team and the rest of the world to follow. His fitness has helped him become one of the best outfielders and he is simply outstanding in the field and his athleticism is one of the finest in the world. And it was on display when he took an absolute blinder at the long-on boundary in the penultimate over of the game. 

After being put into bat by Kolkata Knight Riders, Royal Challengers Bangalore posted 175 in the first innings. Quinton de Kock and Brendon McCullum gave RCB a good start and Virat Kohli scored a very good 68 as the hosts got to a competitive total. In reply, Sunil Narine and Chris Lynn gave KKR a blistering start as they shared forged a 59-run opening stand. Robin Uthappa came in and scored a breezy 36 off 21 deliveries as KKR looked on course to their fourth win of the season. 

But RCB did pull it back a little to make things interesting but Lynn stayed right till the end and Dinesh Karthik’s 10-ball 23 helped KKR get over the line. RCB were very sloppy in the field as they missed a few chances and were very with their ground fielding as well. However, in a game where the hosts were pathetic on the field, there was a moment of brilliance from their skipper. 

With needed off 8 deliveries, Kohli pulled off a stunner at long-on where he ran a few yards and then dived in front to complete a blinder to dismiss his KKR counterpart Dinesh Karthik. However, he wasn’t pleased with RCB’s performance and hence, didn’t even celebrate after taking the catch. However, he was the only one wasn't impressed as the entire Chinnaswamy, along with his wife Anushka Sharma, went into an absolute tizzy with the effort.
