India have been dealt a huge blow ahead of the final T20I against England as Bhuvneshwar Kumar, who is suffering from a stiff back, had to be replaced in the team by Siddharth Kaul. England, too, have made a change by bringing in Ben Stokes to replace Joe Root for the final T20I.

After a lacklustre show against England in Manchester where he conceded a massive 45 runs, Bhuvneshwar made a strong comeback in Cardiff as he conceded just 19 runs in 3.4 overs. However, it appears to have taken a toll on his body as he was deemed unfit for the final T20I and has been replaced by Kaul in the playing XI.

India will also be without Kuldeep Yadav who has been replaced by Deepak Chahar. The CSK pacer was a late call-up to the national team after Jasprit Bumrah broke a finger in his hand during the Ireland series.

England have also made a change to their team, although it has not been forced one. Joe Root, who was recently called back to the T20I fold, has been sub-par in the first two games scoring a combined nine runs. England have instead decided to go with all-rounder Ben Stokes who scored an unbeaten 90 in Durham’s 44-run loss to Yorkshire on July 5.

Teams:

India (Playing XI): Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan, Lokesh Rahul, Virat Kohli(c), Suresh Raina, MS Dhoni(w), Hardik Pandya, Deepak Chahar, Umesh Yadav, Siddarth Kaul, Yuzvendra Chahal

England (Playing XI): Jason Roy, Jos Buttler(w), Alex Hales, Eoin Morgan(c), Jonny Bairstow, Ben Stokes, David Willey, Liam Plunkett, Chris Jordan, Adil Rashid, Jake Ball
