Adil Rashid, who dismissed Virat Kohli in third ODI, stated that Kohli is a world class batsmen but the English bowlers are bowling really well and want to carry on their good form. Eoin Morgan was also all praise for his players and insisted that players are making his decisions look good.

England scripted a remarkable comeback by clinching the three-match One-Day International series against India 2-1 after a thumping eight-wicket win in the decider on Tuesday. Joe Root hit his second successive century (100 not out), while Eoin Morgan smashed an unbeaten 88 as the duo shared a match-winning unbeaten 186-run stand to script a successful run-chase on a track which seemed to have eased out later in the day.

Earlier, skipper Virat Kohli had cracked a strokeful 71 runs before England dished out some disciplined bowling effort to restrict India to a modest 256 for eight. Kohli scored 71 off 72 balls, inclusive of eight fours, but the Indian innings faltered in the face of some quality spin bowling by Adil Rashid, who took 3/49 to hurt the middle order.  Rashid, who was awarded Man-of-the-match for his superb bowling pointed out that Kohli has been one of the top batsmen in the world but the English bowlers have been bowling way too good for his comfort.

"Obviously nice, though the seamers bowled well, then me and Mo got our rewards. Stick to your strengths, Moeen bowled exceptionally well, as well. You work hard in the nets, and you get confidence from there. [Kohli wicket?] He's one of the best in the world, but we're bowling exceptionally well, want to carry it on. Always nice to play well at your home ground in front of a big crowd,” said Adil Rashid in the post-match presentation.

With this win, England took revenge for the 2-1 loss in the T20 series that India started their tour with. This was also the first victory for the host in limited-overs cricket over India since 2011. Morgan English skipper Morgan stated that the players knew the conditions very well and tried to take full advantage of that. He insisted that the team has been to be in the best shape possible for the upcoming World Cup.

"Outstanding, tone set by the bowlers, David Willey and Mark Wood on the money, hit lines an length really well. From that point there was no let up, taking our chances when they arose, we know the conditions here and took advantage of that. Didn't think it would be a belter, normally stands up a bit, but still a good wicket to bat on, probably a 300-320 ground. Chase set up by the openers and then me and Joe managed to get going. Guys make my decisions look good. Like any captain, you're only as good as your team, guys were brilliant today.

Off the mark at Trent Bridge, India punished us. [Kuldeep?] A completely different challenge for us, but satisfying that we learnt, went through the process of looking at our plans. [World Cup form] We've got two more tours to go, need to be at our best going into the World Cup, things to look at but we can only put ourselves in that position," said Eoin Morgan after the series triumph," said Morgan.
