Virat Kohli might the best batsman in the world at the moment but as far as being a product of the “gentleman’s game” goes he has failed in every aspect of it. One such incident happened on Wednesday when the RCB skipper mocked R Ashwin’s Mankading leaving the spinner absolutely furious.

It has been quite an established fact in Indian cricket by now that while one could aspire to be a batsman like Virat Kohli, whose unparalleled will power and hard work could break any existing record in world cricket, but as far as emulating an ideal sportsman goes, the Indian skipper would come down the list.

The Royal Challengers Bangalore skipper has come under severe criticism by fans for his animated, demeaning celebrations after dismissals in IPL but he wasn’t expected to pay any heed to them anyway. The match was heating up at the Chinnaswamy Stadium on Wednesday when Punjab were chasing the target of 202 posted by the hosts.

After a decent start by KL Rahul and Chris Gayle, the visitors started crumbling with David Miller and Nicholas Pooran hold the mast for some time before the South African made his way to the pavilion as well. Ashwin was pretty much the last hope for the visitors, who needed 27 of the last over. And Aswhin kept his fans’ hopes up by dispatching Umesh Yadav for a maximum on the very first delivery.

However, continuing that was not very feasible for a bowling all-rounder as he was seen hitting Ashwin straight on the very next ball to Kohli at the ropes. The RCB skipper signalled the batsman what was he thinking while hitting in that position and also mimicked his infamous “Mankad” moment from long-on. The KXIP skipper was infuriated by it and was seen throwing his gloves after crossing the fence.
