Twitter is abuzz with “Spirit of Cricket” debate after R Ashwin Mankaded Jos Buttler, but ironically Ben Stokes got a lot of mentions on Twitter. In reply to the rant of what would happen if Stokes would have done the same to Virat Kohli, the Englishman replied that he would have never done that.

Shane Warne was very angry last night after Ashwin sent Buttler back with a very controversial manner when the batsman was backing up a little when the spinner was on his delivery stride. He advocated for "Spirit of Cricket" debate on Twitter and stated that what would happen to the public consciousness if Ben Stokes decides to Mankad Virat Kohli in a World Cup final.

After that, the Twitter world copied the same and the section of the followers, who was not in support of Ashwin’s act, tagged Stokes, who incidentally was a part of the same Rajasthan Royals team last night. After getting messages from all the corners entire night, Stokes decided to come with an answer to the hypothetical question and in a way, also made his stance clear on the Monday night controversy.

Stokes’ England are one of the favourites to win the tournament and it is widely believed that India would join them in the final.
