The rain gods have played spoilsport for a fifth consecutive day in Vadodara as all three Group B Round 5 matches were abandoned without a coin toss. None of the nine teams in Group B is yet to register their first point from a win since the domestic one-day tournament began on September 24.

Rain gods continue to pour down furiously in Vadodara, leaving nine teams have been left stranded and sharing points with each other as the fixture-list ticks by. On Sunday, September 29, three matches were scheduled to take place, including a rescheduled fixture between Maharashtra and Himachal Pradesh at the Reliance Stadium.

Uttar Pradesh and Haryana were set to lock horns at the MRS Railway Stadium, while Krunal Pandya’s Baroda was pitted against Mandeep Singh-led Punjab at the Moti Bagh Stadium. With all three matches called-off before the coin toss, the points were equally shared by the six teams. Himachal Pradesh, Baroda, and Punjab have eight points after all four games in their fixture list were abandoned due to wet outfield. Vidarbha, Maharashtra, Odisha, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, and Haryana all have six points as only three each of their matches have ended with neither side the winner. At the end of Round 5, a total of 15 matches in Group B have been abandoned so far.
