Delhi Capitals lost the match against Gujarat Titans on Saturday after their batting collapsed because of a brilliant spell from Lockie Ferguson. However, the Delhi Capitals may feel a bit relieved as David Warner and Anrich Nortje are set to join the side very soon as stated by Ricky Ponting.

Delhi Capitals lost the game against Gujarat Titans on Saturday which exposed their problems in batting and bowling as a team. Prithvi Shaw and Tim Siefert failed to make an impact which led to a top-order collapse resulting in their defeat. The bowling has also been lackluster without the pace of Anrich Nortje who has been a vital cog in the Delhi setup.

Delhi Capitals head coach Ricky Ponting gave an update regarding their star batter David Warner and bowling spearhead Anrich Nortje. Ponting as quoted by news agency Reuters said

"I think he (Nortje) has to get through another maybe four or five-over spell at 100 percent capacity and then I think if he gets clearance from Cricket South Africa, he should be right to go".

On David Warner, he said

"Davey should be there for the next game and Mitch Marsh for the game after."

Australian all-rounder Mitchell Marsh who is struggling with an injury is also expected to join the Delhi Capitals. Head cosch Ricky Ponting explained his situation and said, "He (Marsh) picked up that slight hip flexor strain in Pakistan. So we need to get a lot of treatment work into him and obviously a few good training sessions before he is available for selection."
