IPL 2023. LSG vs RCB | Twitter calls revenge after Kohli's crowd-mocking celebration with Gambhir's act at Chinnaswamy

The match between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Lucknow Super Giants has turned out to be a low-scoring contest with the latter losing half of their side in 38 runs. Virat Kohli looked more energetic than usual on the field today by celebrating almost every wicket in a fierce manner. However, his celebration after Deepak Hooda’s dismissal caught a lot of limelight as he was seen mocking the home crowd. 

Wanindu Hasaranga was bowling in the sixth over of the innings and Deepak Hooda was facing the first delivery. The batter tried to flick the ball from outside off but it missed his blade and Dinesh Karthik collected it easily. Karthik then disturbed the stumps immediately and the decision was sent upstairs. 

The replays confirmed that the wicketkeeper has outdone the batter. Hooda was in disbelief as he saw his failure to bring back his back foot in the crease on the big screen. After the dismissal, Kohli was seen celebrating the wicket in an electrifying manner and exchanged an angry stare with the home crowd. 

This was not the only instance in the game where he grabbed the attention of spectators with his antics but the star Indian batter found different ways to celebrate the dismissals on each occasion. Twitteratis also noticed Kohli placing his finger on his lips indicating silence and compared his celebration with Gautam Gambhir’s act when RCB met LSG earlier this season and they lost the game.
