The cricket world witnessed how a challenging welcome can either ignite a player's determination or further unsettle the opposition. This scenario unfolded for Mumbai’s Jasprit Bumrah who faced a challenging start conceding a six to Delhi Capitals' Jake Fraser-McGurk in his first over.

‌Mumbai Indians' decision to bowl first backfired as Jake Fraser-McGurk and Abishek Porel took off to a blistering start. Fraser-McGurk, particularly, showcased his skills by smashing 19 runs off the first over bowled by Luke Wood featuring three boundaries and a maximum, continuing his excellent form this season. However, the situation turned grim for the visitors when Mumbai's ace pacer Jasprit Bumrah entered the attack in the second over.

Facing Bumrah's first delivery, Fraser-McGurk expertly anticipated a slower, fuller delivery aimed at the off stump launching it over long-on for a six. Bumrah, visibly disheartened by the response faced further dismay as his delivery was deemed a no-ball prompting a re-bowl. Attempting a yorker on the subsequent delivery, Bumrah narrowly missed his mark, allowing the Aussie to drive the ball past mid-on for another boundary. Mumbai's frustration was palpable as their star bowler struggled against Fraser-McGurk, who swiftly reached a half-century in just 15 balls.

The Twitterverse erupted in response to Bumrah's bowling display, praising Fraser-McGurk for his audacious hitting.
