‌SL vs IND | Twitter in splits as Rohit Sharma hilariously chases Sundar following repetitive bowling abortion

Few individuals are meant to entertain the masses and Rohit Sharma is a no-brainer to make the list. Not just with the bat but the Indian captain is also a capable entertainer with his antics as he was seen chasing Washington Sundar for constantly stopping from releasing the ball on Sunday.

Arriving on the back of a tie in the first ODI, Sri Lanka’s poor start in the first over was neutralised by a 74-run second wicket stand. But the visitors found their way to peg back at the hosts with wickets during the middle overs phase, reducing them to 135/4 in 32 overs. With Sundar’s couple of wickets pushing the Sri Lankan batters on the back foot, an unprecedented event with his team captain intending to counter him.

After a successful review from Janith Liyange on the first ball of the 33rd over, Sundar stopped twice from releasing the ball at the popping crease. Rohit Sharma fielding at the slip lost patience and ended up chasing the bowler from his original position hilariously. While the captain broke into laughter, Sundar followed up with a smile, in quick time. Additionally, the finger spinner summoned from releasing the ball in his previous over as well, probably losing his runup or trying to determine the batter’s intentions. However, Captain Rohit’s friendly gesture broke the internet, leaving the Twitterverse abuzz.

Such a golden moment in cricket!

LOL!

This is hilarious!

Hahaha! Very true!

Only he can do such!

So funny!

He never gets old on field!

God can't stop watching this!

Yes for sure!

Agreed!
