It's typical for everyday occurrences to unfold, just as it's typical for Virat Kohli to send off a player to the hut. Such was the scene in the contest between Punjab Kings and Royal Challengers Bengaluru where Riley Russouw was given a unique celebration by Virat Kohli amidst Punjab King’s chase.

Being put to bat first, Royal Challengers Bengaluru posted 242 runs in 20 overs on the back of Virat Kohli’s 92 and Rajat Patidar’s 55. In reply, the Punjab Kings kicked off the chase with a 75-run powerplay and Rilee Rossouw’s fifty kept them in the hunt. However, the Proteas was dismissed halfway through the chase and received a fitting reply from Kohli for his cannon-shooting-like celebration post-fifty.

On the third ball of the eighth over, Rossouw heaved a full-toss from Cameron Green over the deep mid-wicket region for a six to notch up his fifty. Soon after, Rossouw broke into a celebration of his own by crouching on one leg and launching a cannonball.

In the next over, Karn Sharma bowled a leg break on a fuller region and Rossouw tried to slog it down the gound. He ended up getting a top-edge and the ball flew towards the long on region where Will Jacks took a regulation catch. However, what followed was something exciting as Kohli went sprinted towards trudging off Rossouw and gave him a fitting reply. Seeing animated Kohli mimicking Rossouw’s fifty celebration after his departure, the Twitterverse exploded.
