The true test of a bowler's mettle lies not in the cheers of the crowd, but in the hush that falls as he prepares to unleash his skill. Delhi Capitals' fast bowler Khaleel Ahmed replicated a similar action, taunting the Chinnaswamy crowd with a gesture after dismissing Dinesh Karthik.

‌The home side had a poor start as Faf du Plessis and Virat Kohli got out within the powerplay. However, Will Jacks and Rajat Patidar steadied the RCB batting with an 88-run stand with the scorecard at 121/2 in 12 overs. Unfortunately, the duo got dismissed in the 13th and 15th overs after Patidar scored a 29-ball fifty. Additionally, RCB’s batting woes continued when Khaleel picked two important wickets in the 18th over silencing the loyal RCB fans.

On the fourth delivery of the 17th over, Khaleel Ahmed delivered a full-length ball to Mahipal Lomror, who attempted a sweep but missed the line, resulting in the ball sailing high over the wicketkeeper. Delhi's wicketkeeper, Abishek Porel, tracked back and expertly judged the trajectory to secure the catch, sending Lomror back to the pavilion.

The tension heightened for RCB on the final ball of the over when the Rajasthan pacer bowled a length delivery outside off to Dinesh Karthik. The Indian veteran misjudged the pace of the delivery, attempting a shot over backward point. Unfortunately, Kuldeep Yadav made no mistake in taking the straightforward catch as Karthik departed without scoring. Khaleel was visibly charged up by the dismissal, mocking the Chinnaswamy crowd with a gesture, placing both hands on his ears, indirectly questioning the earlier fervour.

The Twitterverse swiftly reacted to this incident, taking to social media platforms to discuss and share their thoughts.
