Delhi Capitals will be hosting Royal Challengers Bengaluru in a few hours. But right before the game, some key updates are out on the players who would miss the clash. The names include Lungi Ngidi, from Delhi Capitals, and Phil Salt, from Royal Challengers Bengaluru.

Delhi Capitals and Royal Challengers Bengaluru will be facing each other once again in the IPL 2026. RCB remains eager to take revenge of the previous loss, as DC aims to regain its winning momentum at their home ground. But right before the game begins, both teams have been dealt with play unavailabilities.

For Royal Challengers Bengaluru, the team will be coming out to this game without Phil Salt. He has been confirmed to miss the game against Delhi Capitals, as he is yet to recover. Salt suffered with an injury right before the game against Lucknow Super Giants, as Dinesh Karthik revealed that he will be missing out on the game against Delhi Capitals also.

On the other hand, Delhi Capitals will be coming to this game without their key bowler, Lungi Ngidi. He suffered a nasty fall in the match against Punjab Kings, and was rushed to the hospital. While Ngidi has joined the team, he still is not ready to participate in the immediate clash against Royal Challengers Bengaluru.

Our Take

While both teams are suffering with injury issues, it still won't stop them from dominating each other. Royal Challengers Bengaluru will bring in Jacob Bethell in place of Phil Salt, who has also been an aggressive opener for the team. For Delhi Capitals, it is expected that Mitchell Starc will join the team. He has joined the team and could also come down as the perfect replacement for Lungi Ngidi, since he is unavailable.
