Royal Challengers Bengaluru have qualified for the next stage but they are still facing one issue. Phil Salt has not been with the team ever since the home game against DC, which he missed due to an injury. But Salt is likely to be back for the team this week and prepare for the playoffs.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru have maintained their spot at the top. But the journey is still not over, as they aim to get to the Qualifier 1 by defeating Sunrisers Hyderabad once again in their final league stage game. Even in the next game, the team would be going without Phil Salt, as he suffered with an injury right before the home game against DC.

Phil Salt also went back to the United Kingdom to have some checks done for his injury. Fortunately, it didn't turn out to be much serious but Salt didn't return to play for RCB. In his place, the team went with their backup opener Jacob Bethell, but he was also not able to deliver well.

Now regarding Phil Salt, RCB has received some positive news. He is expected to be back with the team by the weekend. This also means that we may not be able to see him in the final league stage game, but he would be back for them in the playoffs.

Our Take

Phil Salt coming back to the Royal Challengers Bengaluru will be a massive boost for the team. They have seen various ups and downs in his absence, so his presence would be crucial, especially noting the fact that the team has now reached the Qualifier stages. RCB will be eager to hand over a defeat to Sunrisers Hyderabad and eventually head on to the Qualifier 1, with Phil Salt back in the team.
