Paul Pogba is regretting his decision to not leave Manchester United during the summer window, amid links of a move to Real Madrid and even Juventus. The 26-year-old had already revealed his interest to try out a new challenge before the summer window opened, but in the end no move materialized.

Heavily linked with a move to Juventus and Real Madrid this summer, Paul Pogba’s Manchester United future was in serious turmoil at one stage of the summer window. That was all after the Frenchman went on to say that he was looking for a new challenge, therefore implying that his time at Old Trafford was now over.

That effectively opened the floodgates, which saw Manchester United desperately try and keep the 26-year-old at the club, a plan that eventually worked. Pogba ended up staying at Old Trafford, as his top suitors in Real Madrid could not afford the transfer fee that Manchester United wanted. But, now the Mirror has reported that the Frenchman is now ruing his decision not to force a move out.

The reports further add that the Red Devils were insistent on not selling Pogba for less than £180 million this summer, and it has seen Pogba regret not forcing a move. Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane is a big fan of the midfielder, and was reportedly hoping that the former Juventus star would force a move, which would lead to United reducing their asking price.

But nothing ever materialized and at the moment it does look like Pogba is set to remain at Old Trafford, at least till the January transfer window.
