Fiorentina sporting director Daniele Prade has said that Sporting CP star Bruno Fernandes is off to Real Madrid. Fernandes was Sporting’s breakout star last season, scoring 32 goals and saw his market value skyrocket in Europe, with some of the biggest clubs in the world interested.

Daniele Prade revealed the transfer move when he was asked if Fiorentina were going to make a move for Fernandes' Sporting teammate Raphinha. Speaking to Corriere dello Sport, he said, “Sporting could be finished in the market because Bruno Fernandes will go to Real Madrid €70 million.”

Spanish media outlet AS has also revealed that Fernandes’ star agent Jorge Mendes, who also represents Jose Mourinho and Cristiano Ronaldo, has been in contact with the representatives of both Sporting and Real Madrid over the possibility of completing the deal, before the transfer window closes on 2nd September.

Bruno Fernandes has been linked to Real Madrid, Tottenham Hotspurs and Manchester United throughout the transfer window, but it seems that the Los Blancos have finally decided to sign the Portuguese International after the club realised it is impossible to snatch prime target Paul Pogba away from Manchester United this summer.
