Manchester United are keeping an eye on Thomas Tuchel’s situation at PSG, with them looking towards the German as a potential replacement for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. The Norwegian replaced Jose Mourinho last season, and has done relatively well at Old Trafford, but has struggled this season.

The former Manchester United caretaker manager instantly made a positive impact on the team after replacing Jose Mourinho, with the club winning 14 out of 19 games in all competitions. It saw Ole Gunnar Solskjaer get the board’s backing, with his appointment eventually made permanent in March. The treble winner was handed a three-year contract by Manchester United and a chance to help one of Europe's biggest clubs find their way back.

However, ever since his appointment was made permanent, results started to drop and the team has found it difficult to hold onto the winning position. Reports have now emerged from France that the Premier League giants is monitoring Thomas Tuchel at PSG. French news outlet Le10 Sport reports, that the Old Trafford side have eyes on Paris Saint-Germain’s coach Thomas Tuchel and the former Borussia Dortmund manager's resume speaks highly about him and the job profile could really suit the German. His position at PSG is under scrutiny and his job is not fully secured.

The report also states that PSG need to have a near-perfect season meaning not only winning domestic competitions but also going to the final stages in the UEFA Champions League, or else Thomas Tuchel position is in jeopardy. PSG have been knocked out thrice in last three years in the Round of 16 despite boasting attacking talent like Kylian Mbappe, Neymar, Angel Di Maria and Edinson Cavani.

As of now, Solskjaer looks to continue as the Manchester United’s manager and has laid plans for a strong future. He has heavily trusted in his youth players like Marcus Rashford, Daniel James and many others. All of these are clear signs that the Norwegian is here to stay for a long time.
