After becoming the first player in PKL history to score 900 raid points, Pardeep Narwal has expressed that he is extremely pleased with the achievement. Patna coach Ram Mehar Singh talked about the team’s third defeat on the home stating that the defenders could have done better against Haryana.

Despite the loss against Haryana Steelers by 26-35, Patna crowd had something to cheer for in the match as their skipper Pardeep Narwal became the first man in PKL history to get to 900 raid points. Pardeep scored yet another Super 10 and managed to get the milestone. He was present at the press conference with Patna coach Ram Mehar Singh and expressed his happiness after creating history.

“I’m extremely pleased with that achievement. And I just want to continue to keep doing well for the team,” said Pardeep.

This was the third consecutive defeat at the home venue for the three-time champions and their coach is certainly not pleased with the way the team has played so far in the Patna leg. The Pirates could manage only six tackle points in the entire game and the coach stressed on that as well while speaking to the reporters.

“Over the past three games, we could have been better on offence and today we could have been better in defence. We had them down to three with the scores within touching distance with just over four minutes left, but the Super Tackle there affected our chances of a comeback,” Ram Mehar said on Wednesday.

“Every game in this league brings pressure. But the points that we gave at crucial junctures definitely invited more pressure. Our raiders will definitely step up and be ready for the challenge. Obviously, if Pardeep fires, the rest of the team follows suit.”
