Nitin Tomar will not be a part of Puneri Paltan’s first game of the seventh season of PKL on Monday when they will take on Haryana Steelers at the Gachibowli Stadium in Hyderabad. The raider is suffering from a muscle pull ahead of the match and hence has been ruled out from their season opener.

Puneri Paltan will start their campaign in the seventh edition of the league later today against Haryana Steelers. However, the Anup Kumar-coached side has faced a major blow as their top raider Nitin Tomar has been declared not fit for their opening encounter. Nitin is suffering from a muscle pull and will not play today’s match. The official Twitter handle has informed that he will be back on the mat soon. Manjeet, Darshan Kadian and Pawan Kadian are the three other raiders in the team who played well in the last season.

It remains to be seen how Anup Kumar changes the tactics and makes the last moment adjustments for the side with Tomar being ruled out from the first game. Tomar had played only 11 games for the franchise last season and missed all the matches in the second half of the tournament because of an injury. The star raider, however, had collected 100 points from the 11 matches that he had played in the sixth edition.
