Dabang Delhi skipper Joginder Narwal after their 22 point loss against Haryana Steelers said that the team will have a chat about the game and will ensure not to repeat the same mistakes again. They lost their first game after 8 consecutive wins, though they still are at the top of the points table.

Dabang Delhi made a series of errors and blunders last night which landed them in a soup and handed them their 2nd defeat of the season. They lost against Haryana Steelers by 25-47 in a one-sided encounter. They were subject to 2 all-outs and hence the point difference kept increasing. Their defence failed to compete and was able to score only 5 points, 3 of which came from skipper Joginder Singh Narwal.

“These things happen in kabaddi. In our previous match against them, we emerged victorious, today they did. We will now have a chat and ensure that we don’t repeat these mistakes again,” captain Joginder Narwal said in the post-match press conference.

They gave more than four two-point raids to their opponents which led to their down-fall. Also they missed the chances to inflict and all-out and conceded super tackles too.

“We had Haryana Steelers on the ropes, but the Super Tackle and Super Raid is where we lost all the momentum. The defence made a few errors and it was all downhill after that,” Dabang Delhi coach Krishan Kumar Hooda said.

In their raiding department, Naveen Kumar scored another Super Ten despite being kept off the mat for more than 8 minutes. Chandran Ranjit was not able to score only 5 points and was not be able to be much of a support.

“A Super 10 isn’t as sweet when we don’t win. At the end of the day, it’s all about winning as a team,” Naveen Kumar concluded.
