WATCH | Kuldeep Yadav's brain fade moment saves Suresh Raina from being run-out

Brain fades seem to be the biggest trend in cricket since the Champions dance nowadays. After Steve Smith and Virat Kohli, it was Kuldeep Yadav's turn to join the club, when he, for some reason, didn't throw the ball to his keeper with Suresh Raina standing in the middle of the pitch.

The incident occurred in the 16th over of the Gujarat Lions' innings when Raina and Dinesh Karthik had started upping the run-rate. Raina chipped the ball, tossed up on leg stump, in between the midwicket and long-on. Karthik who was running towards the nonstriker's end called for two, but that resulted in a hilarious mix up as both players found each other stranded midway on the pitch. Karthik decided to make a run for it with the throw coming to the danger end and managed to get in by putting in a full-length dive.

Raina, however, instead of making his crease decided to see if his partner could make his. Kuldeep collected the ball but, for a reason, only he can explain, did not attempt the run-out. What was the worse was that he could have just thrown the ball to Uthappa at the other end and Raina would have had to make the long walk back to the pavilion. But the chinaman spinner did not and the duo added another 49 runs in the next four overs to take Gujarat to 183 off their 20 overs.
