IPL 2019 | Legends and pundits react to Rishabh Pant finishing off in style
Rishabh Pant is the heir to claim the throne that MS Dhoni will soon vacate and yesterday he lived up to the hype. After Shikhar Dhawan and Prithvi Shaw gave Delhi Capitals a good start in the run-chase, Pant made sure their efforts weren't in vain. This is how the cricketing fraternity reacted.
It is always a joy to watch your players do well when you are a coach!
5th away win and what a spectacular innings from a very special player, Rishabh Pant. Fantastic start from @SDhawan25 and a good hand from @PrithviShaw . Happy team #RRvsDC pic.twitter.com/Nx7EVpUFbg

Who would've thought this would happen at the beginning of the tournament! :O
That was a brilliant batting performance by Delhi Capitals who have won five of their last six matches. Last season they displayed enormous potential but finished last—this season they are top with three games left to play. They are coming of age in front of our eyes. #IPL #RRvDC

And it is the Delhi boy who is making this possible! Incredible!
There you go. Pant does it today. This was another opportunity and he does finish it for Delhi. They should make the play offs @DelhiCapitals riding on this win.

Have the Indian team management made a mistake by not picking Pant?
Rishabh Pant..boy... this guy is hard to fathom but such a joy to watch! What an innings! 👏👏👏🙏🙏🙏#RRvDC

This is good for Indian cricket!
Happy to see @RishabPant777 bat so maturely. This was missing for @DelhiCapitals and I was looking forward to seeing an innings like this from him. If he can do it more often Delhi will feel that they have a good chance to make it to the play offs comfortably #RRvDC

Many wrote them off so early!
Did anyone expect @DelhiCapitals to play so well ? Boy, they are the table toppers now #RRvDC

If only...
If only Pant had finished a few more games before the World Cup squad was picked.....and Khaleel had played a few more. #IPL

Exciting times ahead!
Rishabh Pant will be very proud of this innings. Difference between promise and what a proper pro does. Look forward to seeing many more of these.

Sigh!
When you see @RishabPant777 Pant bat like this, you wonder how he could be left out of the WC19 squad...
