The beauty of a new ball in the hands of a skilful bowler is the promise of havoc for the opposition. The contest between Lucknow Super Giants and Rajasthan Royals at the Ekana witnessed a defining moment when Quinton de Kock, Lucknow's opener, fell victim to an outstanding delivery by Trent Boult.

‌Following two consecutive victories, the Lucknow Super Giants clashed with the Rajasthan Royals at the Ekana ground on Saturday evening. Rajasthan skipper Sanju Samson won the toss and elected to bowl, a decision that paid off as they claimed the wicket of Lucknow’s star opener Quinton de Kock, courtesy of a remarkable delivery from Rajasthan speedster Trent Boult.

The Kiwi veteran faced a challenging start with two consecutive fours hammered on the first two deliveries of the opening over as de Kock aimed for an aggressive beginning. However, Boult showcased his skill on the third ball with a classic seam-off delivery. The 34-year-old bowled a short-length delivery targeting the off stump, prompting the Proteas star to drive towards the on-side. Yet, he misjudged the line allowing the ball to sneak through the gap between his bat and pad crashing into the off stump. Boult celebrated de Kock's dismissal, with the Rajasthan team applauding the veteran's performance.

Twitter erupted with praise for Boult's stellar start, buzzing with discussions across social media platforms.
