‌IPL 2024 | Twitter reacts to 'Old man Kohli' asking Brar to slow down

When the T20 format was first introduced in cricket, it was regarded as the fastest form of cricket. Harpreet Brar of Punjab Kings looked to have taken the shorter format to a literal sense after he was seen hurrying new batter Glenn Maxwell before being prompted Virat Kohli to slow down.

In a chase of a 177-run target against the Punjab Kings at their home, RCB kept losing wickets on periodic occasions around Virat Kohli. The stalwart seemed flawless despite the fall of three wickets inside the eleventh over. However, the only resistance to him till then came in the form of Harpreet Brar hurrying his compatriot who was just new in the crease.

At the start of the 13th over, Brar was about to get into his delivery stride despite the fact that Maxwell was still taking his guard. The Aussie gestured for the bowler to stop, thereby prompting Kohli at the non-striker’s end to further emphasize the same. The Delhi-bred batter was heard yelling the famous “Ben Stokes” expletive before asking the left-arm orthodox spinner to give the batter a moment to breathe. Kohli did the same to Ravindra Jadeja in the last game against CSK while Cameron Green was batting and the Twitterverse took little time to relate to it.

Kohli at his best!

It's just hilarious!

Kohli Planned it!

Bang bang!

Wait buddy!

True

Maxi gone!

Sad for Maxi!

The best!

Epic!
