Legends react as New Zealand edge past India in World Cup semi-finals
Big upset for Indian cricket fans as Team India crashed out of the World Cup after losing by 18 runs to New Zealand. A half-century by Ravindra Jadeja was not enough to recover from top order collapse. The entire cricket fraternity was in shock with this unexpected result and reacted on the same.
Chasing 240 on the reserve day of a rain-hit semi-final at Old Trafford, India suffered top-order batting collapse with top three getting dismissed for one run each. Ravindra Jadeja's heroic knock of 77 off 59 and his 116-run partnership with MS Dhoni gave India a hope but unfortunately, they both couldn't stay till the end, leaving the team needing 23 off the final over. New Zealand is through to the finals and will play either England or Australia at The Lords on Sunday. Indian cricket legends rued on India's performance in the semi-final and shared their valuable opinion on Twitter.
💔 just like every 🇮🇳 supporter.

A good fight put up by @imjadeja & @msdhoni but @BLACKCAPS were exceptional today.
Congrats to 🇳🇿 on making it to the Finals & all the best for the same.
I felt #KaneWilliamson’s captaincy & composure played a crucial role in this result.#NZvIND pic.twitter.com/3sUlW21cgN

Don't have words to express the way I am feeling. Till the time @imjadeja & @msdhoni were at the crease it all seemed possible.😭#NZvsIND #CWC19 pic.twitter.com/P1HSeEJlLt
India can feel proud about their performance in this WC. We had our issues in the middle but I thought on most occasions someone raised their hands and stepped up. Extremely Happy with the how India went about playing. Congratulations to Virat and the boys #INDvsNZ

Top order batting and seam bowling Definite Positives to take, plenty of spin options ... for #TeamIndia sadly the one flaw in the armour had to be exposed in the most crucial knock out game #INDvsNZ #CWC19

India didn’t have a good start which costed us the match. No one ever thought of 5/3. But that’s how sport is! Really well played to @imjadeja let's appreciate the entertaining campaign India put up for all of us to enjoy. Well played 👏#INDvNZ #CWC19

India did not bat well enough to reach the final. A resilient effort by Jadeja & Dhoni. They almost brought India back into the game.
