The selection committee announced India's 15-man squad for the five-match ODI series against Sri Lanka and Manish Pandey and KL Rahul made a return to the team. Meanwhile, Yuvraj Singh, Ravindra Jadeja, Ravichandran Ashwin, Umesh Yadav, and Mohammed Shami have been rested for the white-ball format.

India have already sealed the Test series in their favour and is now closing down on a clean-sweep against Sri Lanka. The selection committee met on Sunday and announced the 15-man squad for the ODI series against the Lankan Lions which will commence on August 20th in Dambulla.

The likes of Yuvraj, Jadeja, Ashwin, Yadav, and Shami have been rested for the series due to their involvement in the long home Test series followed by their inclusion in the Champions Trophy squad and the short tour of West Indies.

Manish Pandey has made the cut replacing Yuvraj Singh in the team after he was sidelined from the Indian Premier League due to a strain in the hamstring. Pandey was in sensational form in India A's recently concluded tour of South Africa and led the team to the series win, scoring an aggregate of 307 runs in five innings. Rahul has unsurprisingly made a return to the team and made the opening spot his very own. The 25-year old will start the Indian innings alongside either Rohit Sharma or Shikhar Dhawan.

Moreover, Axar Patel, Shradul Thakur, and Yuzvendra Chahal have been included in the team owing to their brilliant performances during India A's tour of South Africa. Indian skipper Virat Kohli will continue to lead the team in the limited format as well.

Here is the Indian squad:
